10 percent of the Russian workforce is without work. This is comparable with the worst levels in the 1990s, during the second half of which 10 to 13 percent of Russians were unemployed.
Car sales have plummeted. Many companies have pulled out of Russia. Oil exports to Europe have collapsed. The plan to freeze Europe has failed.
None of this is to say that Russia will collapse tomorrow, but the future for Russia doesn't look as good as it had prior to this war.
