Am black and just had to let off some steam here. I got called the N word today. I rear ended some guy and he got real mad. I told him lets settle things with the insurance company, and he said F you N** and he just drove off. I just stood there stunned. I was willing to own up to my mistake and he didn't even give me a chance to make things right. Instead, he judged my by the color of my skin and left me there. I couldn't help it, I went in my car, drove in a hidden parking lot and I just cried. I have no control over the color of my skin, and yet that is all people see about me, or judge me about. It is the first thing that they think when they see me. It is the only thing that they remember about me in their memory. I try to be the best person I can be, and no matter what I do, I will always be judged for my skin color foremost. Something I had no control over. I just had to rant so that this forum knows we are living breathing people with a soul no different than you. We are all just trying to live our lives the best way we know how to do.
