>>16901007It's the culture of conformity, and the resultant standardization of what is considered attractive. There's a saying, at least for the Chinese, "Body, hair, and skin come from parents." The Japanese have, at least for females, the 'yamato-nadeshiko' archetype, which requires straight, well kept, jet black hair to match the look. It's to the point where brown hair isn't particularly common with the Japanese even for both males and females. For a while they forced the girls to dye their hair if it wasn't black. Even for Koreans, black hair can be preferred because with the correct hair product, you can emulate a very contrasting, silvery-white luster with jet black. It's very photogenic. Even the the finish on black cars in Korea are desired if they have that wet paint luster. Wavy hair is all the rage, because it shines in different ways because of the variation. Most Koreans have straight hair so it requires perms to get that result.
This is just conformity bred into east asians for the most part with very little deviation. Usually, any issues like balding are much less likely to be genetic and more due to health malady because of that.
It's only a matter of time before people realize that bloodlines and genetics aren't just a biology lesson. It will prove its worth when it is better understood. Our progenitors understood it. We, for some reason, don't.
