You know, you could just make art without putting it on display anywhere. Keep it to yourself until you think that you've gotten good enough to show it. I don't see why there'd be anything to get embarrassed to yourself about, then. I'm pretty sure there's just as many people who keep their work to themselves as there are who post everything. Doesn't mean you have to do it forever.
Either way, I don't really see a point in quitting altogether. If you just think that you don't enjoy it, fine, but not doing it because you'll "cringe" at it later, you're never going to be able to get good at anything if you keep thinking of it that way. That's literally everybody who was at some point new to what they do.
Should a baby not learn to walk because they look dumb while trying to do it for the first time? If you think you should quit because you don't think you're good at drawing right now, then you're basically saying yes to that.
Anyway. My opinion, stop thinking stuff like "ah well I'm quitting now it doesn't matter" because that's retarded, and if you still feel any interest right now, give it a go whenever you feel like it. Like I said, have it be once a month if you want. Pretty sure that future you will appreciate it and be less bored because of it.
From knowing you, it's hard for you to get interested in anything and start up on it. Here's one thing that you can finally get somewhere with, if you just don't gatekeep yourself from it. You've already dipped your toes and that's rare for you, so it'd be a huge waste to not commit.
Go play TF2 and sleep if you want, but every now and then, draw too. You've enough time.
Still, I doubt I could say some magic word to get you to do it. It just starts and ends with your own motivation. But I bet you'll feel more like it later, good luck.
