Singapore has a strong racial hierarchy with South Asians being manual laborers, often treated as slaves with their IDs held so they can't escape. There's a lot of ethnic mistrust between the Chinese and other Asians there as well as you might expect. Presumably they also segregate themselves into different ethnic areas, but that's just an assumption of mine since every other country on the planet operates that way.
Also it has extreme penalties for crime, like the death penalty for selling drugs, which presumably makes things safer. I wish drug dealers would be killed here, too, but our legal system has so much bureaucracy that it costs more money to kill them than keep them alive in prison.
