On the one hand, we have a universal ethical principle that we should not harm people for no good reason.
On the other hand, we have a religious notion of the correct nomenclature, which we recognize because it is being used in some professional community that we choose to worship.
Is it a good reason to harm good people? Not for me or anyone sane.
