The Fujitsu supercomputer could simulate 1 second of 1% of the human brain using 40 minutes of processing time and 83,000 microprocessors in 2013. This technology advances exponentially and will very soon be able to host the entire intelligence of a human. Over 99% of human labour will be rendered obsolete.
The elite in society will transfer their minds to extremely powerful computer constructs, and they will each be served by thousands, if not millions, of extremely powerful AI, machines, robots, etc.
Of the majority of humans who can not afford mind transference, or maintain their cybernetic life status due to economic competition, they will all be in roughly equal and crushing poverty. It does not matter what race you are, what religion you believe in, what values you possess, all these humans will work shoulder-to-shoulder in the mud, garbage, and sweat shops, doing the menial and low value labour that the cyber humans have decided are not valuable enough to invest AI to do yet.
The cyber humans, no longer being biological beings, but still requiring wealth and power to survive, will send out legions of massive machines and countless soldier androids to scrape all biological mass and burn it for additional fuel. They will burn entire forests and grind the ground smooth, pave and concrete over it, and build new infrastructure, utilities, manufacturing plants, computer facilities, etc. The biological humans will die as fields will no longer produce food and toxic chemicals fill the air and water. All matter and energy will be utilized for the cyber humans, and they will expand in the universe, consuming all matter and energy and eliminating all weaker beings they come across.
If you do not expect to become a multimillionaire in the next 20-30 years then you, and whatever kin you have or hope to have, are already dead.
