I was born and raised in the American Southwest, and always identified as a white Hispanic castizo. I was proud of my Spanish heritage, and my family had been in the region for generations. I was an active member of /pol/, and I believed that my white Hispanic heritage made me a part of the "true" Hispanic culture.

However, last year I decided to take a DNA test to learn more about my ancestry. To my surprise, the results showed that I was actually a mestizo, with a majority of my ancestry being of Indian descent. I was shocked and confused, and had to re-evaluate my identity and my understanding of the world.

I had to confront the fact that I was not the "true" Hispanic I had thought I was, but more of a hybrid, with both Indian and Spanish heritage. I had to learn to accept and embrace my new identity, and to understand the complexities of my background.

I am still a proud member of /pol/, but I now have a more nuanced understanding of my identity and of the world around me. I am no longer a white Hispanic castizo, but instead a proud mestizo.
