you ever think it'd be cool if like
in fiction there was a disease or curse, and it kills you
but the process isn't ugly like turning into a zombie or something, more like someone explodes into pretty lights, or flowers, or some kind of neon glow and the infected insist they're happy with it?

wouldn't that be different? kind of horrifying, the gap between some beautiful and positive feeling alongside being 100% fatal

like going into the light could be bad, because that light's actually just predatory and out to get you? that'd be rad. why's nobody done that?
