I truly fucking dread what AI generation holds for the future and what we're seeing in the present.
It's the continued empowerment of big tech parasites at cost of disempowering some of our most uniquely human aspects- the fundamental cultural shit that sparks inspiration and allows for the communication of lived experience and soul. We keep it alive for millennia because it in turn keeps us (truly) alive.
Of discouraging and burying expression and craft away from any significant global influence, aside from the interpersonal value within small, local communities and in-person performances.
People have bewailed similar technological trends for centuries, but current AI is its' vilest and most potent manifestation yet.
What's saddest is naively thinking that this will empower the individual in the long-term. This technology turns people into the purest form of consumer possible, through its' bottomless output and (eventually) endless customization. With increased regurgitation and mistrust in most of what we see online, eventually the reactions to anything digital will be replaced with utter fatigue and indifference.
And creators in all industries will be forced to consume and polish this regurgitated slop, lest they become unable to compete with the pace of sludge which the global market will produce and demand.
You think social media and TikTok algorithms are hellish? We have seen nothing.
But for now, I'm still amused at Earl Boen reading retarded shit. RIP
