I admit I sniped that first post but for real, every dog likes me. When I go over people's houses their dogs rub up against me, and when I encounter people walking their dogs on the street they tend to jump on me. Dogs like me

Ah, he's a jumper. You need to establish that you are pack alpha. And anytime you're out and he does something good... treat. Anytime bad, scruff of the neck and down. He'll be trained properly.

my great grandfather was a nazi and he would cut off a jews finger, make the dog smell it and then he would put the finger in a hotdog bun, thus giving the dog the impression that he is getting a nice juicy hotdog. Have goal - say Duck/Goose retrieval
Get puppy
Get curriculum, electronic collar, treats, training bumper, etc.
Train him every single day.
Take him duck hunting
Profit
Take him goose hunting
Profit
Get another puppy
Bring him along with training, then hunts
Retire old dog
repeat

Canadians only use scruff of the neck and down so they can position their dog into non-consensual beastiality. The best way to train a dog is by showing praise when it does good and indifference when he fails. If it's really bad, use a newspaper because it won't hurt them, just don't rule by fear... a fearful dog will bite out of anxiety. Be kind to your dog.
