>>17038500>I might switch to godotyeah but make sure that you pick the 4.0 branch
it's in rc-1 now and make sure you download dotnet 6.0 sdk and runtime
>I'm really curious about this project of yours, got any vague idea of what you're going for, like what graphics are you aiming for, stylized? photorealistic? single or multiplayer?yeah the thing is this whole opportunity came out quite out of the sudden and basically everyone has a different idea for the game
I know exactly what kind of game I'd like to make but I don't think this is the kind of project I'd like to do in Godot; it was rather supposed to be a personal project on a customly build engine and my other ideas I think are a little bit beyond our scope
my friend said that he has an idea for a card game in an isometric perspective in 3D (maybe something similar to slay the spire but more advanced idk) but I told him to better stick to 2D because that would be easier
the only thing that is for certain is that it's going to be a single player PC game and most likely the graphics will be stylized since my friend is the main artist and he likes his anime girls
honestly on this project I'm open to ideas and I've yet to talk about with other members of the team about what they think
there's also an important aspect that I don't think anyone mention; that is budget, and project web infrastructure
I mean in order to collaborate on such a project from homes we need to use tool that would allow for communication, bug tracking, version control, storing assets, documentation etc.
And the biggest issue is that although setting up a VPS server or git/jira repo is not that costly, online storage is and with vidya production you have to deal with large asset files that have to be stored somewhere
