Why did logposting fail?

For those who don't know logpositng was the latest meme to hit 4chan's /bant/.

But for some reason it failed to catch on after a day of spamming

it was just a parody of frogposting with a log instead of a pepe, the entire joke was just "remember that one frog edit? here's a log version of it." it had nowhere to go and no identity of its own.

the reason both wojak and pepe were successful is because they're expressive, relatable images that you can paint pretty much any feeling or scenario onto. the log is literally a picture of a piece of wood. it's basically the anti-pepe and only works when people recognize the context you're putting it in.

im not saying the log is a good meme im saying the argument is shitty because many of these things just got appropriated but the log raises a decent point that it didnt have to be pepe as the focal point for anybody to understand what the point of the image was
