sorry what l meant with my previous question was:

do dimensional models actually offer faster retrieval times than a 5NF normalized usual ERD models ?

just define your dimensions in the tables with quantifiable metrics to measure them. ie: time, cost, resources.
then connect that data to a visualization of those relationships ships.
