I live in northern VA and I'm pretty sure some of our creeks are connected to the Ohio river. How concerned should I be about the recent happening? Will it be safe to hike in the woods or go fishing in the years to come?

Well I don't fish by water that's already been treated. Plus I'm not sure those water treatment plants are able to filter out the chemicals from the disaster. I have an RO water system under my sink so I'm not really concerned about my drinking water. But i am concerned if those chemicals will come down to my creeks and also that water getting absorbed in the soil then the trees and stuff

I mainly only drink water from my ro. If I eat food or veg that was fed city water its only a small amount, so I shouldnt be getting too much of it. Most of my water consumption comes from my RO that's for sure though. I don't use it just for drinking I also use it for coffee, rinsing fruit/veg, boiling noodles/rice/taters, etc.
