In case anyone is interested, in 2015 one of the green parties proposed that is should be illegalized, since it's illegal in the rest of Europe. A law banning bestiality was written, but due to a technicality it wasn't approved. The Wikipedia article on bestiality wrongly assumed that the law was in effect and bestiality was illegal in Spain, but that was literally not true.
Ever since that law was written, some parties asked for the law to be properly voted and approved again. Instead of just passing the same law, it was decided to vote a new law against animal cruelty as a whole. This new law makes hurting an animal a worse crime -previously it would barely be "damage to the property." Yet this law didn't specifically mention bestiality. Because the article on Wikipedia was wrong, retards from all over the world who use it as their only source immediately assumed that bestiality had been legalized but, again, that's a lie.
According to the new law, if you fuck a puppy and you cause it harm, you'll face very several crime charges that didn't exist before. If you smash a puppy head with no sex involved, it'll be again a crime (it would have been overlooked with the law that was going to be approved in 2015 that only criminalized sex). If you suck a horse cock and you don't do any harm to the horse, you won't be breaking the law.
I'm not the one to defend a stupid government that approved a law that makes it illegal to call a tranny "he," but there's absolutely nothing wrong with a law that criminalizes CAUSING ACTUAL HARM instead of the previous "sex LE BAD okay??" bullshit attempt.
It sucks balls that bullfighting wasn't illegalized too, but whatever.
