>>1709695It's possible that the reason that Cirnoposting has both gotten bigger and less quality is because we're getting new members with no talent and nobody to direct them. Back when the community was smaller and there were less of us and less expectations to be on the board 24/7 or risk being overturned by the latest FoTM anime character (like how Simon/Borche/Bant Plant kicked the bucket), we did more fun stuff like the /bant/ comic hosted by Dane Anon where people rolled for the story and boss raid threads that we took over for during the later part of June.
Older Cirnofags from day 1 huddle up in PixelCanvas but as far as I know rarely visit modern Cirno threads due to their reputation as spam, only showing up when KoG does to congratulate him.
We did things I hope were good, like the 2*2chan Cup team, helped hosting PixelCanvas (even if it fell apart for a while and one of us left as a result), and the draw and flag threads, but it seems that stuff gets forgotten quickly in the face of the spam. I wished we could go back to doing more skilled a fun things, but it seems that doing anything not Cirnoposting just gets ignored. Why ask a thread about how /bant/ was doing or a recipe exchange thread when it slides off the board with less than 10 replies?
One currently productive thing we're trying to do is discover the identity of an obscure book published by a Pony Chan anon. "Getchan's King-of-Gets: Revolution and Repeating Digits a History of Getchan 2011-2015." We were thinking about making a thread about it and turning it into a community effort, but again I'm not sure if it'll just die and we're better off investigating ourselves.
