i was doing networking shit and some company called lucent came and offered me some position there. this sent chills down my spine because i had heard of their company years prior, considering the fact its named after lucifer and all their products are named after things from hell, like inferno os or the styx protocol.
they were big into the iot early on and were showing me all these documents and shit about how they were going to contact with the new york city government to install sensors in all the subway systems among other shit. in the simulation software i had for setting up fake networks there were nodes for things like nuclear centrifuges but also refrigerators or tvs or other weird shit. keep in mind this was long as shit ago before smarttvs or whatever existed. i just thought it was evil and i got creeped out and said no.
later found out their corporate headquarters holds the guinness world record for the worlds quietest room. when youre inside you can hear other peoples bones crack from across the room as they walk and hear their heartbeats. if a person fired a gun inside nobody even a few feet away outside of the chamber would hear any noise. idk what went on in there but that was the end of it for me.
a lot of more weird stuff with them but they got absorbed into a french company now i think but all their weird demonic shit they programmed or designed also got incorporated into products that are still sold and used globally.
