>>17102711It's hard to offer advice on this one. Theoretically; yeah, you could ween yourself off slowly, but then comes the question; "Can you?"
You may want to look into techniques or "ways" of preventing the negative aspects of withdrawals, in particular the lethal kind. The lethal kind tend to be when you're a SUPER alcoholic though. No one knows your situation better than you. So work with that to the best of your self-knowledge/awareness. Also, something from my own battles. It's like the idea of a wrestling match with the devil. I may never win. However; I am not gonna stop trying. I've done MUCH to curb my addiction to cigarettes. From a pack a day to a few packs a year IF that. When I do choose to have a pack. I enjoy it, but I go back to patches, or lozenges eventually because it's feasibly not sustainable if I like want half way decent lungs. But I won't let it be part of my every day life anymore; I must be busier then to allow that, more productive. I must fill the void with something else that isn't destructive, and do the things I am afraid to do at least to SOME extent. BABY steps are still steps in the right direction.
