I have so many ideas, but the second I start trying to do the work, I realize how impossible it all is, so I lower my standards for the project, then I stop liking the project, then I quit.

I have a folder of at least 8 different websites/business ideas I've tried to develop and in every case I haven't had the courage/know-how to do anything with the back-end. So I just have a bunch of pretty bullshit websites that do nothing. Programming makes no sense to me. Even when I follow tutorials exactly, something will always go wrong that will make me stuck before I even really begin. I've tried using tools like ChatGPT and googling tons of things, but nothing ever seems to work. This has been my life for the past 4 years at least.

The most I've ever done is basic text file to-do lists.

It makes you slightly more awake, gives you extreme focus (but in a retarded way), and way more sociable. The first few times I took adderall, I got stuck writing the same paragraph over and over again trying to make it absolutely perfect. Every line had to be 80 characters long, the sentences had to flow perfectly, and what I was saying had to be clear, concise, and not overly verbose. I would spend hours switching back from my text editor to my thesaurus looking for the perfect word to use.
After around 12 hours of work, I would have one good paragraph down... and nothing else. Sometimes I couldn't even remember the context of what I was writing in the first place and had to scrap the whole thing. 4chan is the only place where I can actually write my thoughts quickly and efficiently.

I want to set achievable goals, but I don't have any conception of what is even achievable. I feel profoundly ignorant.
My room is always clean and tidy. I shower every day. I always keep things clean and simple, most often to a fault. I can never even start big projects because the second I get more than 10 files in a directory or something I start obsessing on ways to simplify it. I can't stand clutter or confusion. Looking at code I haven't written makes me want to kill myself. I can never understand it.

Sometimes I attempt to steal simple projects off of github and tailor them to my needs, but they invariably have zero/poor documentation, and if any dependencies are listed as a requirement, they don't tell you what they're for, how to download/manage them, or how to work with them. I hear a lot about coding bootcamps, but I've never seriously considered the idea of participating in one. I don't have the money, and regimented social work programs give me extreme anxiety. I think I got PTSD or some shit from going to a highschool with a dorm and I completely failed to adapt (I actually unconsciously started coping with the stress by compulsively working out like some guy in prison. It was the most fit I've ever been). Ever since I haven't made any attempt to go to college and I when I failed a driving test a few months ago I almost killed myself. My mind is completely shattered, man.

Just google a uni that offers the same course of what you want to learn and their syllabuses usually are free to look at online so just take it from them and follow it.

For someone with adhd (which adderall is typically prescribed for hyper activity) find a hands on type job that is somewhat fair paced or keeps you consistently busy. Farming could be a great job maybe. And you learn something valuable plus get a decent work out. It might be an option.

It sounds like your fear of failure and rejection paralyze you when it comes to taking risks and moving towards your goals. Given you have a clean room and used to work out compulsively I’d say discipline isn’t an issue but rather resilience is. Look around on YouTube and stuff for advice on how to tolerate risk and bounce back from failure or rejection. As for your issue with sticking to goals, I really recommend Jordan Peterson’s approach of breaking them down into smaller and smaller pieces until you have something you can manage to do and then build up from there. You mentioned getting frustrated as your projects progress and then spending all your time hyper focusing on making what you’ve already done as clean and simple as possible; have you thought of setting a time limit for each part of your project and then forcing yourself to move on to the next when you reach it?
