I want a new hobby to fill my time this spring/summer, and I have $2500 to put towards it

$2500 doesn't get much of a motorcycle these days and your gun ownership joys will be tempered by the cost of ammo. Have you thought of taking up jumprope? It's excellent cardiovascular exercise and teaches coordination and nimbleness. There's a bit of a learning curve, as you can see here with the lovely Tomo, but once you become adept, you'll find the benefits are considerable, and the costs minimal.

But anyway I'd put $1,000 towards a gun (idk about your supply but go buy an M14 or something badass and powerful with it) and $1,500 for a motorcycle you can restore bit by bit

protip: dont do this unless you want it to be ready next spring/summer, armorers are slow
but what you can do is get a hema sword and go to a fencing club, i spent all my money on armor and a sword im waiting until may for, but you can easily get something already in stock if you're not a picky autist like me
best part is that you can practice literally just using a dowel rod
