>>17146830When I was a kid, I had a 25 gallon tank and I didn't know about water testing so I would keep buying corries but they would always die. Eventually I got one and he survived but after about 6 months he was struggling. First his swim bladder started acting up and then he got finrot and his tail rotted off. Every day he would stay at the floor of the tank on his side. He looked dead but I knew he was alive because he would swim up (even with no fin) ever 30 minutes or so to get air. I waited for him to die but after about 2 weeks he was still alive so I decided I would put him out of his misery. I put him in an ice bath to kill him and then flushed him down the toilet.
