I won't keep quiet about this anymore. The people in charge of Lifecare are criminals, through and through. They're sociopathic narcissistic liars. The company they run is BARELY held together by the most exhausted, overworked, underfunded, underequipped staff and equipment I have ever seen. Mental health there is NOT taken seriously despite what they preach to their employees and the public. DESPITE what they tell you at the funerals of the employees who take their own lives (at a higher rate than most EMS organizations) , they do not care about mental health.
I personally attended the funeral of one of their employees, and witnessed the co-founder of lifecare begin the service by mispronouncing the persons name, several times. Then, proceeded to tell a completely fabricated tale about how well he knew this person, and how much she loved working for lifecare. Anyone who *actually* knew her could cite that a great deal of her mental health problems STEMMED FROM HER EMPLOYMENT WITH LIFECARE, and I know for a fact that that's far from the only case of something similar happening.
How horribly is your company ran to where people routinely feel trapped and alone, with nobody to come to? Your company is the laughingstock of EMS for miles around. Mental health issues aside, the quality of treatment for patients is awful. there are NUMEROUS times patients have been put in danger by crews who could not handle a situation, and their supervision FORCED IT onto them, knowing full well what was going on. Multiple times employees suffered injury after being pressured by supervision to do something THEY KNEW DAMN WELL WAS WRONG. Crews performing calls above their scope of practice (again pushed by dispatch and supervision). Please someone tell me in what world it's okay for a BLS Unit to transport an hour+ on an active morphine drip? How and why do people with multiple DUIs hold officer AND DRIVER positions??
