Explain how Venus and Jupiter can 'appear' to be right next to each other in the sky without the sun also being visible in the sky. Venus is, by solar system standards, right next to the sun, whereas Jupiter is a fuckton away. Furthermore Venus's orbit is on the opposite side of the Earth (closer to the sun than Earth) while Jupiter's is further. Remember all planets share the same ecliptic plane. It is impossible for Venus and Jupiter to appear to be right next to each other in the night sky without the sun also being visible in the sky.
