Despite its popular association with 4chan's /qa/ board, the current popular variant of frogposting actually originated on /tv/ in 2018 and 2019, and migrated to /qa/ from there. Despite Pepe's earlier association with happiness and jolliness, this frog variant tends to be quite rude and terse. This variant of frogposting is characterized by the following traits:

-Short, throw-away shitposting one-liners
-Often intended to be amusing in their frivolity or pointlessness
-Almost exclusive use of the "neutral" Pepe and variants thereof.
-Posts and content are often deliberately targeted at jannies or other posters
