In America, the land of the free

It's not always so easy to be

A black person in a world of hate

Where the system is rigged and the cards aren't straight

From slavery to Jim Crow to mass incarceration

We've been fighting for freedom with determination

The struggle is real, the pain is deep

But we keep marching forward, refusing to sleep

We've faced police brutality and systemic racism

But we won't let it break us or take us

We've got resilience, we've got strength

We've got love in our hearts and power in our veins

We've got a community that supports us

And allies who stand with us, no matter the cost

So we keep pushing, we keep striving

For a world that's just and true, and not conniving

We won't stop until our voices are heard

And we're treated with respect, dignity, and worth

Black lives matter, and we won't be silenced

We're here to stay, we're here to thrive, we're here to shine.
