ITT: We discuss the viability of memeing Musk into buying 4chan, and the political ramifications (and others) of doing so.
Love him or hate him, the following is true of Elon Musk
>He's the richest man in the world
>He's at least reasonably smart
>Despite the above, he's a frequent shitposter
>He is at least aware of 4chan, and at most a frequent visitor
>He apparently cares about free speech
He could probably buy 4chan over breakfast on a fucking whim and run it as a pet project. Fuck it he could probably hire moot to run the fucking thing.
If what he said about Twitter being valuable as a global forum for free speech was true, it would make sense he could extend that thinking to a sister platform for anonymous free speech, for the open sharing of thoughts and ideas free from consequence.
Positives are that with proper investment, even as a pet project, the site could be highly optimised. Captchas removed, bots removed.
Negatives are mainly an inevitable mass influx of newfags, but also potential cucking of the site to prevent hate speech.
Politically, it could help reinforce free speech, plus Elon haters would fucking mald over his support for the heart of online hate speech.
What say you anons?
