>>17204857In my high school there was 3 tiers of high school
basic classes with 4 main types of classes Grammar/lit, math, science, social studies/government.
each subject was divided into classes of
basic(retards)
college prep(CP)
Advanced placement(AP)
so 4 core classes for the first 2 years
and 2 classes of whatever you chose but some were required when you graduate but you could take them any year. like communications(presentation class), Computers, psychology+sociology, foreign language(french, spanish, more if school is big like german and mandarin)
and then classes of your choice(electives) theatre, CAD, gym class, weight training, financial, music, etc
Or for your final 2 years you could take 3 core, grammer/lit, math, science, and then go to 3 hours of job prep; nurse, police, mechanic, construction, cook, teaching, childcare.
after the first 2 years everyone gets to do their own thing except 3 core classes.
This was just my school tho, I went between CP and AP if it interested me I took it. My last 2 years I took weight training and it was based, getting 1 hour of lifting a day plus counting towards graduation and GPA(average student grade score)
