I must warn you about what is likely to happen next. Here are some ways it can go:
1. The government of Burkina Faso sends soldiers to take back the mine, chaos ensues, you have a good chance of escaping. Probably the best option and the most likely one, at least in the short term.
2. The government becomes too weak to defend itself, jihadis take the mine and treat you much worse than the Whites ever did. Most likely option in the medium term (years-decades).
3. A bunch of well-armed, well-trained White mercenaries show up and kill you all. This is probably the least likely option because we are spread thin, and have a lot of other shit to deal with right now. It becomes more likely if your mine produces more gold than most.
4. You try to run it yourselves but fuck it up. Machines will break, the mine will flood, nobody will know what to do. No gold. No money. The Chinese bribe your government to let them have most of the profits if they take over the mine. The Chinese let you keep your jobs but they treat you worse and pay you less than Whites did. In the long run, the Chinese are probably going to get that mine one way or another. You will need supplies and heavy machinery and it will be impossible to get that stuff in there without money and permission from the government.
5. You tell the Chinese to fuck off. You realize that gold is a curse and you go back to your villages, grow crops and raise your families, try to be as self-sufficient as possible. Be poor but happy. This is by far the least likely option, because you cannot resist the gold, and because your neighbors will find some way to ruin things for you.
Maybe you should just hold the place for ransom. Demand that helicopters drop wads of cash over your villages. That way they can't take it back.
