You can do everything in Linux that you can do in Windows so I don't see the point in this thread. Plus if you have a registered account everything updates automatically.

Windows is stepping away from 3rd party vendors too, which is a massive improvement for online: Get content and adverts from a reliable source that knows you as a person.

It's 3 steps lmao
1. Open up a terminal
2. type `sudo apt install name-of-package` into the terminal
3. say `y`

That's way easier than what you do on windows
1. open up a web browser
2. find the program you want to install making sure it isn't a scam website
3. click the download link
4. open up the file manager and navigate to the installer
5. double click the installer program
6. Click through the wizard and be sure to not to install anything you don't want
