The staff tend to interact with patients as little as possible. Patients can come knock on the nurse's window, they won't answer - which is fair enough since it only causes them problems e.g. getting attacked, false accusations.
Docs will throw clozapine or olanzapines or 50 other -pines at people, have very little interest beyond that e.g. CBT, better food, supplements.

When they look the brains of suicide victims + bipolar people, they're all deficient in inositol.
Supplementing it doesn't always work, but it's safe + cheap, and generally improves depression/anxiety/OCD symptoms.
