Blacks Ops 2 was actually kind of sucky. Still good, definitely compared to the shit they spew out now, but it's pretty overrated when you look into it. It's one of those things that people make out to be better than it really was because of the fond memories they have of it. Some people even call it better than MW2. Which is simply false.
I don't know why it never gets talked about, but I just wanna point it out, the game had insanely bad netcode issues throughout it's entire lifespan. Which made it literally impossible to play at a serious level solely by itself, even if you got rid of all the boring gameplay elements aimed at making things as comfortable as possible for the children that just got the game for Christmas.
They thought for some reason that putting in extreme lag compensation would be a good way to fix the host advantage issues. Which is a thing that works, older CoDs had it and it was fine, but they really overdid it with BO2.
You pretty much had a permanent 200+ ping no matter how good your connection was or where you played from. Even if you were the host. Let alone that, even if you played in offline split-screen matches that should have zero ping, you still had to deal with the retarded lag compensation.
And what the lagcomp did was get rid of basically any sense of fairness from the game. It made for almost every fight being one-sided, because just one example out of a hundred, if you were running around a corner and saw somebody, you could kill them literally 7 times over before you even appeared on their screen. And the same could happen to you. It singlehandedly ruined whatever balance that they tried to put into the game, because winning or losing only depended on how well you could abuse the lagcomp.
Headglitching spots were also ten times more overpowered because of it. You could kill people without ever appearing on their screen at all.
All I'm saying is, if you ever see anyone saying BO2 was the best CoD, know that they're wrong.
