Why is it that homosexuals spout the "born this way" meme but still regard pedophilia as a mental illness


Homosexuals cite the evidence of "born this way" as being;
Homosexuals have been around for millions of years
>so have pedophiles
Homosexuality is seen in the animal kingdom
>so has pedophilia (although the amount of animals that engage in pedophilia are higher than ones who engage in homosexuality)

Homosexuality is an attraction
So is pedophilia
Thus the question of harm or sexual action isn't the main focus of this argument but instead solely the element of attraction
