Its really not that hard, just manifest your will and do things to better yourself, whether through knowledge, skill, hobby, or growing in general.
Its called self improvement, and if you are doing the same thing without growing as an individual or have a lack of passions, I could kind of understand why you are a sad person.
If you are a sad person, you open yourself to be used by other people, to serve their own happiness and wants. Are you fine with being the dog/oxen of others because you have no want to improve and be your own man? That you've no passion that defines and emblazens your soul?
If so, then please join the pen with the rest of the cattle and toil away until your body is as hollow and skeletal as your soul.
If you choose not to be a dog, then stand up and grab the reigns on your life and push your boulder onward.
