Because 2shit characters have so little character. Their lack of character is made up for by unique and creative designs. Artist basically get these really interesting characters to draw and make them behave in pretty much any way they want them too. It's kind of like an internet mythos but the hard part (conceptualizing a character design) is already done. Even I (someone who thinks that the touhou games are mediocre and overrated) can't get enough of these little buggers.
