that is a golden poison frog, their skin contains a toxin that can very quickly be deadly even if they're just touched
interestingly though they do not produce the poison naturally but rather it is repurposed by their body from the insects that they eat, which means in captivity they can be totally safe given a proper diet

well it basically shuts down your nerves' ability to communicate with each other which causes paralysis leading to respiratory failure and cardiac arrest

I don't know that much about frogs in general desu I just found the golden poison frog in particular interesting and read up on it

frogs' tongues are attached at the front of their mouth instead of the back like ours which lets them flick them out quickly to snag prey

I don't get frogs where I live now but the ones at my old place weren't loud enough to keep me up

Do any of you guys know why /bant/ doesn't have an on-site archive? Threads just vanish once they are dropped off the catalog. It would be really helpful if we had an on-site archive just to get an idea of what has been going on lately on the board (instead of checking an off-site archive).
Here is a free iced coffee for replying. You guys need to explain to me why the admins REFUSE to give us an on-site archive of recent threads even though it has been asked for, multiple times.
