"PARIS, June 29—Baron David de Rothschild of the Paris banking family and Miss Olimpia Aldobrandini of Venice were married today in a civil ceremony presided over by the bridegroom's mother, acting in her capacity as Mayor.
Baroness Alix de Rothschild is serving her third tend as Mayor of the village of Reux, population 229, on the outskirts of Pont l'Eveque, seven miles southeast of the resort town of Deauville.
The population of the Normandy village was easily doubled by guests and journalists who came to the wedding of the eldest son of Baron Guy, de Rothschild, head of the French branch of the banking family, and the daughter of Don Francesco and Donna Maria Aldobrandini of an old Italian noble family.
The bridegroom is reported to have said that his wife would remain. Roman Catholic and he would remain Jewish, but that they planned to raise their children in the Jewish faith.
David de Rothschild, 31 years old, Is working at the Rothschild‐Paris Bank, of which his father is president. The Baron is also chairman or member of the board of a large number of banking, securities, mining and other corporations in Paris, London, New York, Toronto and elsewhere. Baroness Alix and Baron Guy are divorced, but she has been allowed to retain the title. He is now remarried."
