If the threads were complete trash or spam then they would simply get deleted.there's a pretty huge distinction between the level of moderation and rules enforcement between /bant/ and /trash/ though, which suggests to me that /bant/ at the very least isn't intended to be international trash, it just ended up that way due to it failing in its original purpose and being too dead/slow to justify a full time janny.
