Have you ever noticed that nothing new is being made and that all people do nowadays is live in the past.

Even im guilty of this.

Every mayor movie that comes out its just reboot after reboot and nostalgia-bait after nostalgia-bait. The same heroes and characters we have been consuming for decades just repackaged

Can you name anything cultural that was invented in the last decade that people will renember maybe 30-40 years down the line ? . Any movie franchise ? Tv-series ? Music ? Anything like that ?

That's because we are not allowed to move on. The only new things in public domain is felix the cat and winni the pooh. Hylic normies only want to watch the same garbage over and over again for two decades before moving onto something else to watch over and over again. The few original things that do come out don't get any attention because they are unfamiliar and strange and if they do get attention its always either a parody or subversion of something that already exists and is often covered in politically correct culture that everyone is sick of now. Creation that is made is often fast tracked to be made in the cheapest way possible.

So all we have left is the past, either in actual old media because its the only good stuff we have now or people reliving the past because of memories and unable to get or find anything new that's good. The few things that do get made take heavy inspiration from old media because people lack creativity now and just want to make their own pokemon or star trek and call it poketrek.

People lost their way and their will. Just look at how many people in this thread is calling OP a Chud just because he doesn't like to mindlessly consume new product. Just about every hobby board on this website has the same issue of new always good while old always bad. Progress for the sake of progress without actually moving forward, trying to erase the past while still profiting from it.
