>>17389463yes, intense vaginal sex becomes a bit more difficult with testosterone, just as for XYs penile sex becomes a bit more difficult with estrogen. many or most transitioning ftms don't want to use their vaginas anyway
obviously there are important considerations when you decide to take cross-sex hormones. there's just a ton of fearmongering over the frequency and severity of the negative effects - plus many of the "negative" effects are actually exactly what a trans person desires
>>17389478>scientists funded by the phama companies that make these drugsthe drugs most trans people take are estrogen and testosterone. the exact molecules already in your bodies. I don't know how much it costs for ftms, but for mtfs estrogen is about $80/year, and 99% of their market is cis women
antiandrogens, like bicalutamide, can have certain negative side effects. the way to avoid it is to start with high-dose estrogen injections, so that the estrogen suppresses the testosterone without need of any other substance like antiandrogens. then you're only taking estrogen, which has very well-known effects and no less safe than cis women's natural estrogen levels
that said, bicalutamide is considered by far the safest and side effect-free of the three most common antiandrogens, and liver toxicity is extremely rare and most of the time caused by stuff like combining it with alcohol. but, yes, it's fair to call antiandrogens experimental and somewhat risky
cosmetic surgeries can cost a lot, but that's the case for any kind of cosmetic surgery in general. only a small percentage of trans people get those
you've just gorged yourself on propaganda aimed at your tribe without taking time to consider the whole corpus of evidence and experience, because you're not looking at it impartially but starting from your own conclusions
