I no longer trust people of the medical profession. I've never had a cavity or any tooth problems (besides a broken wisdom tooth from being punched) and some gum recession from brushing too hard.

I now have a gum abscess and everything is urging me to go to a dentist immediately. Is there another option? It doesn't seem terribly severe...
