Befriend locals would be quite hard to me because I look like Hans with an Italian nose, so too "foreign" and "touristy" and I'm slightly autistic.
Greeks are a very sociable folk. Mamà had this Greek friend. It was a stark contrast between a very Germanic girl (mamà) and a very med girl (her friend).
