There were multiple Slavic Waffen SS divisions and collaborators. For example, the Russian Liberation Army, comprised of anti-communist Russian nationalists, fought alongside the Germans in the struggle against bolshevism. Slavs, especially in territories such as Ukraine, welcomed the Germans as liberators. Under German occupation Slavs were given back their land (which had been stolen by jewish communists) and were given more food than what they received under the soviet regime. When the Germans were forced to retreat many Slavs willingly went with them for protection from the barbaric red army.
