Phenibut seems to be popular in Russia and other CIS countries
I've not tried it but it seems to be similar in effects and potency to pregabalin compared to gabapentin, baclofen and other gabapentinoids

Pregabalin has a 90% bioavailability which makes it much better for most people than gabapentin but long term recreational use isn't worth it and it's not sustainable so it should better be taken for therapeutic reasons and reasonable doses, you don't need much of it to feel it
