>>17450053why doesn't he use it any other time in the movie? there are stars in the game that don't give you invincibilty, there's a difference between them, it's not really explained in the game what type of star item or object it is until the end, but that could be poor writing too, instead of explaining the star further, they just decide to use it like a deus ex machina at the end of the movie. Plus the penguins could have used it to, but they didn't.
I guess, but he does a pretty good job conquering the mushroom kingdom without the star, it doesn't really do anything throughout the movie.
He doesn't really say for sure that he stole the star so that princess peach will return his love for her, he just says that with his star "he's gonna rule" it doesn't seem like his only motive, there is some ambiguous dialouge with bowser
