>>17454529I hate to point this out. people in the south were clearly racist for much of it's history. but up until maybe the 1940s or 50s, Many Southern Rednecks dressed nice. even the poor dressed as best as they could. but Hollywood glamourized dumb down backwater stupidity and it became trendy for decades from about 1950s to at least the 1990s and then the south became more developed. just like any other large city with suburb and toolie towns. you can find the same kind of people in the deep mountains of California east of San Francisco and especially in Oregon and Washington and Montana etc.
But now many of these people do meth, wear sleeveless shirts and cut offs and grow this silly mullet ponytail. I'v seen some comical shit especially redneck types going to walmart.
but Hollywood glamourized Beverly Hillbilly stereotype. no one talked like this in the old days of the deep south. you know how I know? because of the letters they wrote or even very old films. they were more humbled too. Hollywood glamorized the ignorance and deep racism and at the same time demoized it. this gave them Identity. it's not the real country people of an earlier time. everyone is molded by trend set in Hollywood and NYC.
you're a stereotype that isn't natural. you should stop hating. and get the fuck off of Meth.
