>>17485716I get it.
I used to be super-sensitive to noise, you know. Not in like a autistic way, where I get annoyed by something and can't deal. Like, I have far-above-normal hearing, and hear things louder than everyone else.
I remember being a kid, and not liking toilets, aeroplanes, tractors, lawnmowers, dishwashers, or loud voices, simply because they were loud enough to trigger an alert through my brain, which caused me to get really bothered.
I had to slowly desensitize my ears to the loud noises, one by one. It actually helped me, because it caused me to be able to form better pattern-recognition.
to give you an example:
>I can faintly hear my own ligaments and tendons moving. Fun fact, they squeak.>I can hear air being displaced, even though it doesn't really make a sound. I always know when something is moving.>I can hear large capacitors (they hurt to listen to). I still feel alarmed while near power stations. My ears are normal sized, I swear. For the longest time, I was unable to stand loud noises, and got frequent migranes.
Kind of ironic now, but I know how it feels to have a sensitivity no one else has.
