>>17477438i guess so, but the taste of what we eat doesn't matter as much when we're not just hungry, but starving, which is why i believe delicacies, such as escargot, rocky mountain oysters, gefilte fish, surstromming, and insects are eaten. it also explains the phenomenon of tribes wasting no part of an animal. i'd imagine if they had anything left over that they couldn't imagine eating while full, they would be turned over to when on an empty stomach out of desperation. when you're hungry, something nasty could taste way better than it actually does.
we don't really starve anymore, unless if we so choose to, or if we're put in a situation with little access to food, such as a survival situation, or even sometimes homelessness. however, i don't think that healthy cuisine has to be boring at all, with all of the cultures around the world showing us how amazing food can taste without needing to be fried to all hell. it's a blessing to feel alive in your body with the health benefits a good diet brings, and it becomes a matter of compromise everytime you decide to indulge yourself. it's still intimately a choice, not a necessity, or as you put it, "essential nutrient".
tho yea, it do be tasty doe
