Why are Indians claiming whites never conquered them?

FACT: India was conquered by whites FOUR TIMES (Aryans, Saka Scythians, Bactrian-Greeks, British). Not even counting partial conquests.
Why are they denying this?

There are retards of basically every ethnic group saying shit like this to make them feel better. yeah i noticed when i was researching about the indus valley civilisation i found indian news sites saying it began in 8000 BC when most historians say it started way earlier. i assume this muddies the waters for a lot of people who want to know more about it
these were by official news sites, not just any random sketchy site
one of these articles also said that egypt was older than mesopotamia, which shows that the writers historical knowledge wasnt too great
