i downloaded urban terror and its okay ig but god it has the worst weapon bindings i have seen in any fps
you press 5 for your primary, 4 for secondary and 3 for tertiary
now this is already fucked. in what world is it practical to have to reach the furthest on keyboard to pull out your primary. its just basic for that to be the other way around so this is wiping away years worth of muscle memory of what u have to press for no reason whatsoever. i guess they made it this way because its quirky?
but to make it worse, u have ur binds fucking change as your playing
if you spawn in with an SMG which is your primary and then pick up an AR, your SMG becomes secondary and now the bind for it is 4 instead of 5, and the same with a bunch of shit so its hard to get used to what ur pressing because its just not consistent
this makes it really really confusing when ur in the middle of a fight and walk over a gun and it automatically picks it up like wtf why do i have to keep track of this shit with an already confusing set of binds
i had like a dozen deaths that was just because i couldnt figure out wtf i have to press out to pull out what i want so i kept swapping around shit
it would just be a million times simpler to make it so your SMG stays as secondary no matter what so u dont have to deal with that
its even worse when you pick up another SMG and u just have to guess which button pulls out your old one or the new one. shit is retarded
on top of that you dont get any HUD indicator
but thats not even the worst part
they made it so you cant even change your weapon bindings from the controls
like all this would be remedied somewhat if you could but for some fucking inexplicable reason you dont
its not like the game isnt smart enough to let you, it has options for quite nearly everything else. but just not weapon binds. why the fuck
